“It’s such a beautiful song, and we’ve been inundated with requests and enquires ….
There will always be room on my show for a class song…”

Following Tim’s recent sell-out show at Whelan’s, Dublin, a new single will now be released of the ballad “You’ll Always Be The One”, due to an overwhelming reaction to this song at Tim’s live shows nationwide.

Evening Herald Review

“Tim Ambler is a singer/songwriter with a difference – he is also a barrister. He has just released his debut album “Tim Ambler”. The album contains twelve songs, six solo written and six collaborations and features two of the Corrs’ backing musician / producers, Anto Drennan and Billy Farrell. Good company! I have to say that the album is very strong throughout and names like Cat Stevens, Jim Croce and Jimmy Webber come to mind. Lyrically the album changes direction nearly from song to song, from “You’ll always be the one” to “Karma comes to play”. “The Corner”, to be released soon as a single is undoubtedly the song of the album, followed by my own personal favourite “Falling from a Satellite”. This is a guy to watch out for as he is obviously quite a talented writer. CD £14.99. Sean Lane”

Tim’s profile has risen dramatically of late, thanks to his memorable appearance on Gerry Kelly’s Friday night show live on UTV. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!” was Kelly’s quote about Tim’s album at the end of the show & since release, album sales are now well into the thousands.

Kilkenny People Review

"AMBLERING ALONG

The former practicing lawyer turned singer songwriter, Tim Ambler, comes to Kilkenny on Sunday, May 13th to showcase songs from his self-titled debut album at Matt the Miller’s on John’s Bridge in the middle of the city. The album has made considerable headway already with extensive airplay both regionally and nationally. The plaintive ballad, The Corner, has become a very familiar sound on local radio.

Tim has been compared to Cat Stevens and James Taylor and has even been hailed as the next David Gray, with his distinctive voice and finely crafted songs. His live show tends to be a mixture of self-penned material and his own interpretations of favourite songs from the many great songwriters who have inspired him.

It promises to be an enjoyable night.”

Sunday World Review by Daniel O’Donnell

"Tim's songs are in good company

Tim Ambler is a singer-songwriter with a difference – he is also a barrister. Although he may be a new name to some, Tim has written songs for the likes of Sally Oldfield, Elkie Brooks and our own Joe Dolan. I always think that 2FMs Larry Gogan has great judgment when it comes to music and he made Tim’s self-titled collection “Album of the Week” recently.

However, this is not Tim’s first journey into the recording world as two of the tracks from the album have featured on BBC Radio play compilations. His song, “Falling from a Satellite” was among a collection that included The Beach Boys, Trisha Yearwood and Vanessa Williams, which were the soundtrack to the radio play “Lying To The Moon”.

Another of Tim’s tracks, “The Corner”, featured on “Who is it?” alongside the likes of Michael Jackson and Sheryl Crow. So no wonder he’s happy with his lot these days.”
